Firstly sorry it has been so long since my last posting on the site.
I simply haven't been here for the last couple of months, but its been a very exciting time and I think we have a very exciting year of expeditions to entertain you.
Key West was a great regatta I met some wonderful people down there in the Keys and after 10 days intense racing I along with a couple of the Murka crew delivered the yacht to Antigua. On route we were very surprised to be visited by a 40 foot Killer Whale just north of the island of Dominica an amazing sight.
I didn't have long back in the UK before it was off again to the Indian Ocean to meet up with my friends on the Super Yacht 'Drumbeat' we enjoyed a peaceful passage to Port Said in Egypt were I said goodbye. I was able to conduct a number of expedition Reece's in the area as well as taking in some great culture.
The main news at the moment is I am very happy to say we have our Record Breaking Row Boat, pictured above myself with Capt Wil Laszlo who along with his Army team set the Around Britian Record last year. Hopefully we can add her Honours by breaking the Atlantic record next year . It has been a real struggle to get this far but thanks to Innotec and Wilky May and Tuckwood we are now on target. The team had our first weekend together last month everyone is very excited about the challenge. We are also conducting our final selection weekend for last minute rowers at Esporta Gym in Taunton on Saturday 22 April.
Yacht Racing will start in earnest on the 26th April were I join the crew of mighty Murka in Antigua. We will be defending our title as we won Antigua race week trophy in 2005. So keep your fingers crossed and wish us success.
We will making some big announcements over the next few months so keep coming back.
